Sonia Paniagua is a San Francisco based hairstylist at J. Roland Salon in Union Square, known for her signature “Seamless Blending Method and long layered haircut.”
The past few years have been a season of real growth. After a minor car accident in 2022 that led to ongoing neck and back issues and two SJ joint surgeries, Sonia has remained deeply committed to her craft and health. Still in recovery and slowly rebuilding her strength especially in the gym where she loves weightlifting, she grows more intentional, grounded, and inspired with each year.
Sonia trained in Los Angeles under celebrity stylist and colorist Chris McMillan the salon, Jennifer Aniston’s longtime hairstylist became Vidal Sassoon certified in precision haircutting, and earned her Master Colorist certification. She now serves the Bay Area as a Goldwell Artist and is in advanced coaching to step fully into her role as a Goldwell Educator, training at the Goldwell Academy in New York for artist development.
Seamless Blending was created to solve one problem Sonia saw over and over: harsh grow-out lines, over-processed hair, and flat, stripy color. Her method focuses on soft transitions, natural dimension, and low-maintenance brightness. The Seamless Blending Method combines advanced foil techniques, healthy hair always as the priority. It’s not just her signature it’s a sought after method recognized by both clients and stylists from all over.
Outside the salon, Sonia lives a life rooted in faith, fitness, and family. She’s a proud dog mom to Hunter and Joy, finds healing through movement, sound meditation, and stillness, and believes in showing up with integrity, care, and purpose.
